Description
You will plan, coordinate, and execute environmental tests to validate satellite survivability in launch and LEO conditions, including TVAC, vibration, and shock testing. You'll work with cross-functional teams, analyze test data, and maintain test infrastructure to ensure mission readiness.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or related field
- 3+ years hands-on experience in environmental testing of aerospace, defense, or high-reliability systems
- Working knowledge of NASA GEVS and MIL-STD-810 standards
- Proficiency with TVAC chambers and vibration tables
- Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical specifications
Responsibilities
- Perform Thermal Vacuum, vibration, and shock testing on components, subsystems, and fully assembled satellites
- Coordinate logistics and scheduling with internal teams and external test facilities
- Analyze test data, interpret results, and provide feedback to design and manufacturing groups
- Operate and maintain internal environmental test infrastructure, ensuring safety compliance
- Lead root cause analysis and resolution of test anomalies and failures
