💼 About This Role

You'll architect and own Built's core cloud infrastructure on AWS, setting technical direction for how infrastructure is designed and operated. You'll drive platform modernization and enable Built's mission of disrupting construction finance. This is the most senior individual contributor role on the platform team, with full autonomy to define standards and drive the platform roadmap.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Architect core AWS cloud infrastructure (EKS, ECS, VPC, IAM).
• Lead platform modernization and software delivery lifecycle.
• Own SLOs and SLIs for the platform.
• Define DevOps engineering standards (IaC, CI/CD, observability).

📋 Requirements

• 8+ years of DevOps or platform engineering experience.
• Expert-level AWS knowledge (EKS, ECS, EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC).
• Deep Kubernetes expertise (cluster architecture, networking, RBAC).
• Strong Terraform proficiency for IaC.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with service catalog tooling (OpsLevel, Backstage).
• FinOps experience (cloud cost governance).
• Background in fintech or regulated industries.
