Description

You'll lead a team building software to govern and reduce AWS cloud costs, partnering with Data Science and Infrastructure teams to improve cost transparency and efficiency across Robinhood.

Requirements

• Experience managing and developing engineers
• Hands-on experience running cloud-native systems on AWS with understanding of cloud cost models
• Practical knowledge of Kubernetes efficiency and infrastructure right-sizing
• Experience building or operating systems related to FinOps, cloud governance, or infrastructure efficiency
• Strong communication skills for cost accountability conversations

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a team that develops software to detect, track, attribute, and reduce AWS cloud costs
• Guide design and delivery of internal systems for cost attribution, chargeback/showback, anomaly detection, and capacity forecasting
• Partner with Data Science to create year-over-year forecasts and expected growth models
• Lead initiatives to identify over-provisioned or unused infrastructure and right-size Kubernetes workloads
• Hold teams accountable for cost regressions with clear ownership and remediation tracking
