💼 About This Role

You'll design and build scalable web products for a global audience at The Economist Group. You'll shape reliable, cloud-native systems at the intersection of product, platform, and engineering, contributing to technical direction and improving developer experience.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design, build, and evolve scalable web applications across the stack.
• Develop responsive, accessible, high-performance frontends using React and Next.js.
• Build and maintain backend services and APIs for product features.
• Drive best practices in testing, observability, and CI/CD across production services.

📋 Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in frontend and backend engineering.
• Strong fullstack experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Proven experience with modern frontend frameworks like React and Next.js.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-native system design.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with GraphQL
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code
• Knowledge of caching strategies and performance optimization
