Description

You will own mechanical engineering work packages for the production site, focusing on large-scale mechanisms like elevators, overhead cranes, and overhead doors. You'll design elements of multidisciplinary, multistory projects from concept through construction completion, and manage construction contracts and field personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related discipline
• 1+ years of hands-on experience with mechanical systems (internship/project applies)
• Ability to work at elevated heights up to 500 feet
• Ability to pass Air Force background check for Cape Canaveral
• Must be able to perform physical duties including standing, kneeling, crouching, and climbing

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical engineering work packages including design and development of elevators, cranes, and large mechanisms
• Design elements of multidisciplinary, multistory projects from concept through construction
• Perform engineering analyses, calculations, and create design drawings
• Manage construction contracts, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
• Provide onsite field observations and resolve field conflicts in real time
