💼 About This Role

You'll join Wave to lead application security, working with product teams to enhance our security posture. Your core impact will be ensuring trust for millions of users across Africa. This broadly scoped role lets you tackle diverse security projects from code audits to infrastructure security.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Centralise application-level login and permissions enforcement
• Configure and utilise external SIEM solutions to monitor infrastructure
• Security review of public-facing APIs
• Partner with teams to define secure guardrails and support incident response

📋 Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience
• Minimum of 2 years in a security-related role
• Strong experience with Python
• Fluent English

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with ISO-27001 and PCI-DSS
• Interest in security-focused source code review and penetration testing
• Interest in growing and mentoring a team
