💼 About This Role

You'll be a core driver of Anthropic's trade compliance program, covering economic sanctions and US export controls for an AI frontier lab. You'll exercise independent judgment on novel issues and build durable programs that enable rapid scaling.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own policy frameworks for sanctions and export controls programs.
• Serve as subject-matter expert on OFAC, EAR, and BIS rules.
• Conduct risk assessments for new products, partners, and geographies.
• Define screening standards and escalate criteria for restricted-party screening.

📋 Requirements

• Substantive hands-on experience with economic sanctions compliance (OFAC, EU, UK).
• Substantive hands-on experience with US export controls (EAR/BIS).
• Experience building or materially maturing a sanctions or export controls compliance program.
• Track record of partnering with legal counsel to interpret trade controls requirements.

✨ Nice to Have

• 7+ years of relevant experience in sanctions and/or export controls compliance.
• Prior experience in a Big 4 or compliance consulting firm.
• Experience in a hyper-scaling tech company or fast-paced environment.
