Description

Lead the design and build of a new, multi-region HashiCorp Vault platform at a leading AI-infused planning and analysis company. You will serve as the Subject Matter Expert for secrets management, driving architecture, resilience, and best practices while influencing stakeholders and mentoring engineers.

Requirements

• Hands-on expertise designing, implementing, and operating HashiCorp Vault in large-scale production
• Experience with multi-region deployments on public cloud (preferably AWS; GCP/Azure valuable)
• Proficient with Infrastructure as Code and Terraform
• Knowledge of modern authentication/authorization (OIDC, SAML, JWT)
• Experience with PKI and certificate lifecycles
• Proficient with Kubernetes and managed platforms (EKS, GKS, AKS) and tooling (Helm, Argo CD)

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and implementation of multi-region HashiCorp Vault platform on public cloud
• Own solution architecture, creating design documents and ADRs
• Develop and test strategies for performance, DR, and HA
• Act as primary SME for Vault and secrets management, championing best practices
• Collaborate with stakeholders, platform teams, and engineers for secure integration
• Partner with Security to define control requirements and lead security design reviews
• Establish joint operating processes with Security for incident response
• Coach and mentor other engineers on security best practices
