Description

You'll design and build the C++ execution engine for Atlas Stream Processing, a fully managed service that lets developers process streaming data alongside their MongoDB database. You'll own core components, shape architecture, and mentor teammates in a small, autonomous team.

Requirements

• Strong background in database internals or data processing system core components (query execution, storage engines, autotuning, workload optimization)
• 5+ years building database services, distributed systems, or foundational cloud services at scale
• Proven success in designing, writing, testing, debugging, performance tuning distributed/concurrent software in large code bases
• Good technical communication and collaboration skills
• Track record of identifying problems and delivering complex projects in distributed systems or databases

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver core components of the execution engine
• Help shape architecture, development practices, and escalation policies
• Mentor fellow engineers and assume ownership and accountability of projects
