Description

You will build and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs for clinical AI platforms, design scalable backend services, and lead architecture discussions. Collaborate with product and design teams to translate user needs into high-performance software, mentor junior engineers, and own projects end-to-end.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in healthcare or complex data systems
• Deep experience building APIs and distributed systems using Node.js
• Experience with front-end integration (React, Next.js) and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP)
• Strong understanding of data modeling, performance optimization, and system architecture
• Team player in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs for Akido Chart and Scope AI
• Design scalable and secure backend services integrating with clinical data systems and AI pipelines
• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate user needs into software solutions
• Lead architecture discussions on system design, data modeling, and reliability
• Mentor junior engineers and promote code quality and continuous improvement
• Own projects end-to-end from ideation to deployment and monitoring
