💼 About This Role

You'll drive asset reliability and uptime for advanced solar cell manufacturing equipment including vacuum deposition and chemical processing systems. Your work will directly enable SpaceX's ambitious vision for AI data centers in orbit.

🎯 What You'll Do

  • Work with teams to ensure reliability of new installations including thin-film deposition and vacuum systems.
  • Own improvement plans, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for preventative/predictive maintenance.
  • Define and refine maintenance plans with predictive tools and RCM.
  • Lead troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, fluid, pneumatic, and robotic failures.

📋 Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, aerospace, systems, manufacturing engineering, or STEM discipline.
  • 1+ years of experience in an engineering role in manufacturing, integration, reliability, maintenance, technical program management, or operations (internships applicable).

✨ Nice to Have

  • Advanced degrees in engineering with reliability analysis experience.
  • 2+ years in maintenance/reliability in high-volume manufacturing, ideally semiconductor/solar/automation.
  • Experience with control systems, automation, deposition tools, and vacuum/chemical/mechanical components.
