You will optimize Anthropic's AI infrastructure for performance, cost, and sustainability by building telemetry, cost attribution, and optimization frameworks. This role spans cloud platforms, networking, and application-level performance to drive efficiency across large-scale clusters.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience
• Expertise in distributed systems at scale
• Proficiency in Python, Rust, Go, or Java
• Experience with Kubernetes, IaC, and AWS or GCP
• Experience optimizing distributed system performance

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve telemetry and monitoring systems for infrastructure performance and costs
• Design cost attribution frameworks for multi-tenant infrastructure
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in distributed systems
• Optimize cluster configurations and resource utilization with cloud providers
• Develop engineering practices to drive efficiency and cost-conscious design
