Description

You will provide physical therapy services under the direction of a Physical Therapist, following the physician's plan of care in a home health setting. This PRN role involves traveling locally to treat patients, helping them relieve pain, restore function, and maintain performance through therapeutic exercises, modalities, and patient education.

Requirements

• Associate's degree from an accredited PTA program (approved by APTA)
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver's license with automobile insurance per Ohio law
• Minimum 1 year clinical experience as a PTA; home health or community health/hospice preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain professional demeanor; physical ability to ambulate in patient homes and navigate stairs

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy treatments as directed by the physical therapist and physician's plan of care
• Treat patients to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum performance
• Direct and aid patients in therapeutic exercises, muscle reeducation, gait training, transfer activities, and prosthetic training
• Utilize physical agents such as heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound, and massage
• Observe and report patient reactions to treatment and changes in condition; maintain clinical notes and records
