Description

You will design and develop a high-volume, fault-tolerant, scalable distributed system as part of the fulfillment platform team. You will work with product stakeholders, drive cross-functional efforts, and mentor team members while shaping development processes.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional engineering experience
• 8+ years designing high-volume, fault-tolerant, scalable distributed systems with Java, Golang, or comparable backend technologies
• BS or MS in Computer Science or similar engineering discipline
• Experience with Microservices architecture
• AWS experience including serverless technologies (Lambdas, DynamoDB, EventBridge) and container orchestration (Kubernetes/Istio)

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-volume, fault-tolerant, scalable distributed systems using Java, Golang, gRPC, GraphQL, AWS Lambdas, DynamoDB, Kafka, Elasticsearch
• Work with product management to understand business requirements
• Own and review deliverables for accuracy, quality, performance, and completeness
• Create architecture and design documents, project timeline, and user stories
• Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of team members
