Description

You will serve patients by identifying the best method for blood retrieval, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and performing screening procedures. You will verify test requisitions, obtain blood specimens via venipuncture and finger sticks, and maintain specimen integrity and quality results.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of phlebotomy experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy Certificate if required by state
• Knowledge of professional standards and legal regulations
• Ability to maintain a safe and healthy work environment

Responsibilities

• Verify test requisitions and patient identification
• Obtain blood specimens via venipuncture and finger sticks
• Maintain specimen integrity using aseptic technique
• Track collected specimens with dates and times
• Resolve unusual test orders by contacting relevant parties
