Description

As a Mission Operations Engineer at Astranis, you'll develop satellite operations procedures, serve as a technical escalation point for anomaly response, and contribute to the development of autonomous systems for our satellite fleet. You'll work closely with hardware and software engineers to ensure safe, reliable, and scalable mission operations.

Requirements

• 0-2 years total experience (excluding internships)
• Scripting experience in any language, Python preferred
• Experience with telemetry analysis and anomaly investigation
• Exposure to satellite or complex systems operations concepts
• Basic understanding of satellite subsystems (hardware and software)

Responsibilities

• Develop satellite operations procedures including commissioning, nominal ops, and contingency procedures
• Serve as first-level technical escalation for satellite operators, leading anomaly response
• Participate in rotating on-call engineering support for 24/7 mission operations center
• Support development of on-board and ground-based autonomy
• Contribute to launch and commissioning campaigns including ConOps development and rehearsal planning
