Description

You will build and maintain reports and visualizations for small business owners using a Ruby on Rails/React stack. Migrate legacy reports to a new platform with Cube and Clickhouse, and lead technical initiatives across teams. This role offers the chance to shape foundational components for Gusto's platform organization.

Requirements

• 7+ years professional software development experience
• Technical ownership of initiatives spanning multiple teams
• Highly proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, TypeScript
• Strong understanding of SaaS fundamentals
• Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration

Responsibilities

• Design and implement reports and visualizations using Ruby on Rails/React
• Migrate reports from legacy Rails/MySQL to new platform (Rails/Cube/Clickhouse)
• Demonstrate work to team and engineering organization
• Participate in support rotations and maintain backlog of technical debt and SRE improvements
• Lead and mentor engineers in complex technical challenges
