💼 About This Role

You'll lead Lightspark's corporate accounting and monthly close processes, ensuring US GAAP compliance for a company building the open payment protocol for the Internet. You'll establish financial infrastructure, implement best practices, and guide the transition from external to in-house operations. This role is ideal for a proactive builder eager to tackle complex technical accounting and leverage AI-enabled workflows.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead monthly financial close and reporting processes
• Prepare technical accounting memos for complex transactions
• Manage multi-currency accounting and consolidation
• Own external audit process as primary liaison

📋 Requirements

• 7+ years progressive experience in public accounting and corporate controllership
• Strong technical foundation in revenue recognition (ASC 606)
• Experience leading external partners in accounting and audit
• Strong experience with ERP systems and accounting automation tools

• Big 4 public accounting experience
• Fintech, payments, or crypto industry background
• Experience with AI/ML tools for accounting workflows
