Description

You will design and support critical telecommunications infrastructure for SpaceX's production, launch, and spacecraft systems, including fiber and copper cabling, operational voice, video, RF systems, and ground stations. You will oversee installations, coordinate with teams, and ensure world-class connectivity to support human life on Mars.

Requirements

• BICSI RCDD certification or bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline
• 2+ years experience in industrial electrical engineering and medium or high voltage power systems
• 5+ years experience with design or build of commercial/industrial telecom systems preferred
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends
• Must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident (ITAR)

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for fiberoptic and copper network infrastructure for multiple IP-based systems
• Coordinate downtime activities between maintenance, construction, and production teams
• Drive telecommunication projects using design change requests and power monitoring data
• Design, optimize, and maintain telecom systems in interdisciplinary teams
• Oversee equipment installation, operation, and maintenance to meet specified parameters
