💼 About This Role

You'll lead peptide drug discovery efforts within Calico's Drug Discovery organization, driving preclinical candidates to development. Your work will directly impact oral peptide drug candidates using cutting-edge AI/ML collaboration. This role offers a unique opportunity to bridge chemistry and machine learning at an Alphabet-founded biotech.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Deliver peptide drug candidates for the Calico pipeline
• Collaborate with Small Molecule Drug Discovery and ML teams
• Lead and develop the peptide chemistry team
• Oversee external CROs for chemistry and DMPK

📋 Requirements

• PhD in organic/peptide/medicinal chemistry
• 12+ years of drug discovery experience in biotech or pharma
• Proven track record delivering preclinical peptide candidates
• Strong knowledge of peptide library synthesis and scale-up
