💼 About This Role

You'll lead daily accounting operations and ensure GAAP compliance for a major nonprofit news organization. You'll oversee the general ledger, month-end close, and a team of three, directly contributing to audit readiness and financial reporting. Audit-ready financials and month-end close cycles will be your core focus.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead month-end close and ensure adherence to close calendar
• Oversee general ledger accuracy and journal entries
• Manage Accounts Payable and Fixed Assets subledger close
• Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis

📋 Requirements

• 10+ years of not-for-profit or public accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Sage Intacct proficiency
• Advanced MS Excel skills
