Description

You will operate and maintain thin film deposition systems for Starlink's in-house IC packaging and assembly, collaborating with engineers to optimize processes and ensure high-quality, reliable production. This role involves troubleshooting, process development, and documentation in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 3+ years of professional experience in a hands-on manufacturing environment, OR bachelor's degree in engineering, math or science
• Experience with deposition methods (ALD, PECVD, LPCVD, PVD, sputtering) and high vacuum environments
• Proficiency in data analysis and process control software (e.g., JMP, Excel) for SPC
• Ability to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends; lift up to 35 lbs.; stand, climb, bend, etc.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain PVD and other deposition systems to deposit precise thin films of metals, dielectrics, and semiconductors
• Develop and optimize deposition recipes by tuning parameters such as temperature, pressure, and gas flow rates
• Monitor process performance using in-situ sensors and metrology equipment like 3D profilometers, ellipsometers, and XRF
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, analyze process drifts, and perform root cause investigations to minimize defects
• Collaborate with process integration, lithography, and etching teams to qualify new materials and integrate deposition steps
