Description

You will provide advanced technical support and consultation to enterprise customers of WordPress VIP, handling complex challenges, architectural guidance, and mission-critical issues through Zendesk tickets and customer calls. You'll serve as a technical resource bridging support and engineering during high-impact situations, with 24/7 coverage requiring shifts including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

  • WordPress expertise with advanced knowledge of codebase, themes, plugins, block editor, WP-CLI, hooks and filters
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, and understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, DNS, domain management, reverse proxy, and version control
  • Experience with software engineering practices, coding standards, cloud infrastructures
  • Advanced understanding of scalability, performance, and security in enterprise environments
  • Proficiency with monitoring tools like Kibana and New Relic; US-based with citizenship

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality technical support and consultation through Zendesk tickets and customer calls
  • Handle complex and urgent customer situations including incident response and escalations
  • Perform in-depth debugging, log analysis, and collaboration with engineering teams
  • Provide architectural guidance to customers on WordPress implementations
  • Build and update internal and customer-facing documentation
