Description

You will define and own the architectural foundation of PubMatic's AI and Agentic Systems platform, serving as the highest technical authority. You will enforce architecture-first principles, review system designs, and translate business requirements into scalable, reliable AI solutions. This hands-on leadership role partners across engineering, product, and business teams to ensure long-term AI infrastructure health.

Requirements

• 12+ years of software engineering experience
• 3+ years designing and deploying AI/ML systems in production
• Deep expertise in LLMs, agentic systems, distributed systems, and scalable inference infrastructure
• Strong experience with cloud infrastructure and containerization
• Excellent communication and technical leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Define and enforce architecture-first principles for AI and agentic systems
• Review system designs and recommend models, frameworks, and patterns
• Translate non-functional requirements (latency, reliability, scalability) into concrete designs
• Act as final technical escalation point for complex AI decisions
• Drive standardization of agent autonomy levels, guardrails, and safety
