Description

You'll lead a New York-based team of 8-10 engineers, owning the core transactional read/write path for MongoDB's Replicated Storage Services. You'll manage the team's roadmap, handle customer escalations, and drive improvements in durability, availability, and performance.

Requirements

• 8+ years building distributed or highly concurrent systems software
• 2+ years of direct engineering management experience
• Strong proficiency in a compiled statically-typed language like C++, Rust, or Go
• Deep understanding of durability, availability, and performance tradeoffs in distributed systems
• Demonstrated customer obsession and ability to turn incidents into recommendations

Responsibilities

• Lead, grow, and manage a team of 8-10 engineers
• Own the team's roadmap for durability, availability, and performance
• Manage customer escalations involving storage behavior and durability
• Drive process and tooling improvements for engineering velocity and code quality
• Partner with cross-functional teams on new storage architecture and availability improvements
