Description

You will lead the K-8 science department while teaching middle school science, fostering curiosity and wonder through experiential and interdisciplinary learning in a student-centered environment.

Requirements

• Full-time classroom teaching experience
• Strong organizational and classroom management skills
• Ability to joyfully teach middle school children
• Experience teaching middle-school students in a standards-based learning environment (SBL) preferred
• Master's degree in science, education, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Articulate key skills and essential knowledge of the science discipline within departmental philosophy and core values
• Provide support and targeted feedback to K-8 science teachers
• Design experiential and interdisciplinary science learning experiences
• Teach middle school science classes
• Foster curiosity and wonder in students
