Description

You will provide rehabilitative care and occupational therapy services for home health patients, helping them with ambulation, transferring, gait training, and home exercise programs under the supervision of a qualified Occupational Therapist. You'll work in a Home Health setting, traveling locally to provide personalized care that follows Otterbein's faith-based tradition.

Requirements

• Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant; home health experience preferred
• Current Ohio license as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (or application in process)
• Valid driver's license and insured reliable transportation
• Current CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Perform occupational therapy procedures in patient's home
• Assist Occupational Therapist in evaluation and treatment program development
• Instruct patients in functional activities, body mechanics, and use of prosthetic devices
• Observe patient progress and report findings to supervising OT
• Prepare and submit clinical and progress notes per policies and regulations
