You'll lead optical design and architecture for spaceborne imaging systems at a defense tech company. Your work will directly impact national security missions through advanced sensor development. You'll collaborate on interdisciplinary teams to mature prototypes from R&D to production.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead optical architecture decisions for novel spaceborne systems
• Design lenses and components for high-performance imaging
• Define optical performance requirements with multidisciplinary constraints
• Develop test setups and evaluate prototype performance

📋 Requirements

• BS in Engineering with concentration in Optics
• 5+ years experience with complex opto-mechanical systems
• Expertise with Zemax optical design software
• Eligible to obtain U.S. Secret security clearance

✨ Nice to Have

• MS or PhD in Optics preferred
• Experience with STOP analysis
• Experience with radiometry and stray light analysis
