Description

You will design tooling for aerospace manufacturing, collaborating with engineering teams to improve assembly processes and ensure quality production of an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of professional industry experience
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering
• Hands-on fabrication and assembly skills
• Proficiency with solid modeling and surfacing in 3D CAD software (NX preferred)
• Proficiency with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Responsibilities

• Design tooling for trim, drill, and assembly operations and manufacturing aids
• Create CAD files and drawings for assembly fixtures using 3D CAD software (NX preferred)
• Design, set up, and inspect assembly fixturing for large primary structures using laser trackers
• Create design review presentations and analysis reports to substantiate tooling designs
• Interface with manufacturing engineers, design engineers, and external vendors
