Description

You will lead a team of engineers to design and develop next-generation gateway hardware for the Starlink satellite internet network. You'll own the full lifecycle of electronics that ensure reliable communication with millions of users globally, collaborating across electrical, mechanical, thermal, software, and RF engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or physics
• 3+ years of professional experience with hardware design/development or electronics test engineering
• 6+ years experience designing mixed-signal circuit boards with processors, FPGAs, Ethernet, and power supplies (preferred)
• Strong understanding of computer networking (up to 800G) and optical networking (preferred)
• Ability to work extended hours and travel up to 20% to other sites

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 3-5 engineers to design, develop, and test highly reliable electronics for Gateway systems
• Drive electrical architecture, component selection, board design, implementation, verification, and debugging
• Optimize existing designs to improve reliability and reduce production/field defects
• Implement automated design validation test assets to speed up development cycles
• Develop and train direct reports to enable product ownership and empowered decision making
