Description

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Roku Mobile App team, you will design and build advanced Android features that enable millions of users to control their Roku streaming devices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive, high-performance experiences using Kotlin, Compose, and modern Google frameworks.

Requirements

• Professional Android development experience, ideally with Kotlin and Compose
• Strong experience shipping production apps on Play Store
• Proficiency using AI tools like GitHub Copilot and prompt engineering
• Experience with IoT or networked device interactions preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Design and build advanced Android applications and features
• Integrate with cloud APIs and local device communication protocols
• Write and maintain tests using JUnit and Espresso
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and ship new features
• Debug, profile, and optimize app performance across Android devices
