You will lead and deliver small to mid-sized highway and local roadway projects, owning scope, budget, and schedule while serving as the primary client contact and mentoring staff. This role involves coordinating multidisciplinary teams and supporting business development on high-visibility transportation projects that enhance regional mobility and economic development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
  • PE license in Connecticut
  • 8 to 12 years of relevant experience, including at least 4 years in project management or task leadership on highway or local roadway projects
  • Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills
  • Proven ability to manage project scope, budgets, and schedules
  • Ability to work independently and produce complete, reviewable deliverables
  • Experience developing proposals, presentations, and supporting project pursuits
  • Experience working with ConnDOT and local agencies preferred
  • Familiarity with alternative delivery methods
  • Proficiency in Bentley tools such as MicroStation or OpenRoads

  • Own project scope, budget, and schedule, including developing proposals and managing financial performance
  • Coordinate engineers and designers while aligning resources to keep projects moving forward efficiently
  • Serve as the primary client contact, building strong relationships and ensuring successful project outcomes
  • Partner with leadership on project strategy, performance, and overall delivery
  • Support business development efforts, including identifying opportunities and contributing to proposals and interviews
  • Mentor and develop engineers, EITs, and designers through hands-on project work
