💼 About This Role

You'll own the docs product end-to-end, treating documentation as a critical driver of activation and retention. You'll shape the getting-started experience for developers using Lightning Studios and Lightning Deploy, optimizing for time-to-first-success. This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, and marketing, with a focus on developer experience and PLG motion.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Audit existing docs, cut what doesn't serve developers, and build a roadmap
• Own information architecture and coverage across UI, SDK, and CLI platforms
• Optimize the getting-started flow to minimize time-to-first-success
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to extract and shape content

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years of technical writing experience treating docs as a product
• Demonstrated experience owning developer documentation end-to-end (SDK, CLI, API)
• Comfortable reading code to understand and explain it accurately
• Proficiency with modern docs tooling (Mintlify, Docusaurus, ReadMe, or similar)

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience at a developer-led or PLG company where docs drove growth
• Familiarity with ML/AI tooling, inference platforms, or developer infrastructure
• Experience building or selecting docs tooling
• Background in technical blogging or developer education
