Description

You will manage patient balances, make collection calls, handle inbound calls regarding outstanding invoices, and collaborate with admissions teams to ensure financial agreements are followed. Your work minimizes costs for patients and supports their access to life-saving behavioral health treatment.

Requirements

  • 2+ years related work experience in healthcare admin, financial, insurance, customer service, claims, billing, call center, or management
  • Knowledge of medical billing practices and office procedures
  • Understanding of No Surprises Collections Act
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Mathematics skills and strict attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Manage patient balances for self-pay collections after insurance processes
  • Collaborate with admissions teams on patient responsibility and collections expectations
  • Initiate collection calls to patients/families for outstanding balances
  • Handle high volume of inbound calls regarding balances and invoices
  • Provide daily/weekly updates to leadership on collections status
