Description

You will design and synthesize novel small molecules for hit-to-lead and lead optimization, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and provide scientific oversight of external resources to advance drug discovery projects from inception to clinic.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Organic or Medicinal Chemistry
• Minimum 5 years as a medicinal chemist in pharma/biotech
• Strong knowledge of state-of-the-art synthetic organic chemistry methodology
• Working knowledge of structure-based drug design
• Proficiency in computational modeling software (e.g., Maestro, MOE)

Responsibilities

• Design and synthesize novel small molecules for hit-to-lead and lead optimization
• Support and guide external chemistry resources with synthetic strategies and creative solutions
• Advance small molecule hits and lead compounds into clinical candidates using structure-based drug design
• Communicate scientific results and progress to stakeholders
• Mentor internal talent and foster a culture of collegiality and scientific rigor
