Description

You will lead a team of ~30 welding technicians, managing performance, scheduling, and workflow on the production floor. Provide technical support, ensure weld quality, and collaborate with engineering to optimize processes for large-scale welded assemblies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or associate degree with 4+ years GTAW, FCAW, or GMAW experience, or 8+ years in metal fabrication
• 2+ years in a leadership role
• Ability to interpret drawings and weld symbols per AWS D17.1
• Knowledge of AWS D1.1, D1.6, and D1.2
• Experience with pipe, orbital tube welding, and large-scale welded assemblies

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a staff of ~30 technicians or welders, including performance management
• Supervise production floor daily schedules and workflow
• Provide technical support to the welding team
• Collaborate with management and engineering to streamline fit-up and welding processes
• Control production weld quality and enforce safety standards
