You'll design mechanical integration solutions for powertrain components on prototype aircraft, collaborating with aerothermal and structural analysts. Your work will directly impact the development of an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. You'll own the prototype development process from requirements through testing.

🎯 What You'll Do

  • Design mechanical integration solutions for powertrain components on prototype aircraft
  • Design detailed metallic parts and assemblies for powertrain mounting and structural interfaces
  • Design inlet and exhaust ducting systems for turboshaft engines
  • Collaborate with aerothermal and structural analysts to optimize designs

📋 Requirements

  • 5+ years of engineering experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Exposure to integrating air breathing turbomachinery or propulsion systems
  • Proficient in CAD (Solidworks, NX, etc.)

✨ Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of electric powertrain systems or aerospace systems
  • Part 23 Certification Experience or ARP4754A experience
  • Experience supporting vehicle development from concept through certification
