Description

You will ensure the reliability, performance, and security of Linux-based infrastructure at Astranis, a satellite communications company. Collaborate with technical teams to implement improvements, streamline operations, and maintain resilient systems supporting critical satellite operations.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of Systems Administrator experience with strong Linux focus
• Hands-on expertise with RHEL, CentOS, or Ubuntu in server environments
• Solid foundation in networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs)
• Proficiency with virtualization platforms (VMware, KVM, or similar)
• Experience with Linux authentication and access management (e.g., LDAP, Kerberos, SSSD, PAM)

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Linux servers for stability, scalability, and security
• Perform patching, upgrades, and configuration management
• Manage authentication and access controls across Linux and integrated platforms
• Support and troubleshoot core infrastructure services (DNS, DHCP, VPN, SSH, NFS)
• Develop and maintain automation workflows to improve consistency
