💼 About This Role

You'll join a cross-functional team in Barcelona focused on making pet bookings fast and easy. Your work on conversion optimization will have a direct, visible impact across Rover's platform. The role includes sponsorship and relocation assistance to Barcelona, with a hybrid schedule (Mondays & Thursdays in office).

🎯 What You'll Do

• Build and maintain features for the booking flow.
• Collaborate with product, design, and data science teams.
• Drive projects from requirements to production monitoring.
• Mentor engineers and conduct code reviews.

📋 Requirements

• 7+ years experience as a professional software engineer.
• Strong backend engineering experience, ideally in Python/Django.
• Solid knowledge of relational databases (schema design, query optimization).
• Experience with observability (logging, metrics, tracing, alerting).

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with React or React Native.
• Distributed systems patterns (async task queues, caching, event-driven).
• Familiarity with search infrastructure (Elasticsearch).
