You'll lead cloud-based PostgreSQL and MySQL database clusters at a next-gen banking technology company. You'll drive scalability, performance, and reliability of enterprise database systems serving millions of cards globally. This role offers ownership of critical infrastructure at a $2B fintech backed by SoftBank and Mastercard.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Manage PostgreSQL and MySQL clusters across global regions.
• Lead and mentor a team of database administrators.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize database changes.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and improve availability.
• Oversee NoSQL and NewSQL databases like CouchDB and Yugabyte.

📋 Requirements

• 8-12 years hands-on experience with relational databases, primarily PostgreSQL.
• Expert knowledge of PostgreSQL configuration, backup/restore, replication.
• Experience in performance optimization techniques for large databases.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (bash, python).

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with MySQL.
• Experience with databases >10 TB.
• Experience automating DBA with Terraform.
