💼 About This Role

You'll combine hands-on development skills with deep technical empathy to support Airbyte's data integration platform. You'll write Java and Kotlin, ship contributions to open-source connectors, and directly shape how customers move mission-critical data between databases, warehouses, and lakes.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Serve as primary technical escalation point for database-related customer issues.
• Dig into complex issues across databases, data warehouses, and data lakes.
• Contribute directly to Airbyte's open-source database connectors and Bulk CDK.
• Train and mentor technical support engineers on database connector concepts.

📋 Requirements

• Experience with Java or Kotlin in a production environment.
• Deep understanding of relational databases and SQL.
• Experience with CDC (WAL, binlog, redo logs) patterns.
• Ability to debug complex data integration issues.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• Open-source contribution experience.
• Experience with SSH tunneling and network configuration.
