Description

You will lead a team of 10-15 engineers to build mission-critical defense software systems, ensuring high-quality, rapid delivery while fostering a culture of ownership and collaboration.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a software engineering manager
• 8+ years of hands-on software development experience in distributed systems or embedded Linux
• Deep understanding and coding skills in Go, Rust, C++ or other system programming languages
• Track record of delivering complex projects under tight deadlines in a matrixed organization
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 10–15 engineers, fostering a high-performance, high-integrity culture
• Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to define objectives and align with initiatives
• Drive timely delivery of complex software projects, removing impediments and promoting agile methodologies
• Serve as primary conduit between team and senior leadership, communicating updates and advocating for needs
• Champion best practices in software design, code reviews, testing, and CI/CD processes
