Lead Calico's early discovery research group, develop research strategies, and advance our drug discovery pipeline for aging-related diseases. Work with world-class technology labs in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

• MD/PhD, PhD or equivalent in molecular/cellular biology, immunology, neurobiology, or related fields
• 15+ years of postdoctoral and/or industry experience in drug development or biomedical research, especially aging
• Rising or proven leader in academia or industry
• Strong record of creative scientific achievements (publications, patents, recognition)
• Technical expertise in basic or translational biomedical research

Responsibilities

• Manage a group of Principal Investigators with ambitious research programs
• Lead independent research on aging biology
• Provide scientific direction for translational projects
• Recruit top talent in aging research
• Contribute to Calico's Scientific Review Committee and other leadership functions
