Description

You will lead system engineering activities for AI-enabled electronic warfare on a 4+ generation fighter jet. This includes negotiating requirements, validating software, and guiding the team from concept to flight qualification.

Requirements

• Led a 10+ system engineering team for avionics or electronic warfare from concept to first flight
• Built at least 2 software-intensive avionics or electronic warfare systems now in-service
• Developed embedded software per DO-178C from requirements to verification
• Established relationship with a civil or military aviation authority and participated in panel meetings or SOI
• Degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, physics, computer science or related field

Responsibilities

• Negotiate system requirements with customer and derive high-level software requirements
• Update traceability of system requirements and establish technical product baselines
• Conduct technical risks board meetings and develop risk mitigation strategies
• Plan technical deliverables, monitor implementation progress, and guide team to successful delivery
• Lead software product qualification and certification activities with customer and authorities
