Description

You will oversee satellite programs at Rocket Lab, supporting the Space Systems Chief Engineer with deliverables for leadership, board of directors, and investors. Responsibilities include spacecraft system engineering oversight, technical leadership, and mission architecture development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical discipline
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• U.S. citizenship
• 12+ years (Principal) or 15+ years (Senior Principal) satellite/spacecraft program experience
• Understanding of spacecraft subsystems, space environment, orbital mechanics, and rigid body dynamics

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and review of spacecraft system engineering including requirement derivation, verification techniques, and vehicle performance budgets
• Lead system and subsystem architectural developments for existing missions
• Support program and product management
• Provide technical leadership in future architectures and payloads
• Assist with test methods, data analysis, simulation and analysis
