You'll design, specify, and integrate vacuum systems for laser-driven fusion experiments at a leading clean energy startup. Your work will directly impact the development of large-scale vacuum infrastructure and reactor-relevant environments, bridging small-scale experiments to facility-level deployment.

๐ŸŽฏ What You'll Do

  • Design and specify vacuum systems for experimental and large-scale setups.
  • Select pumps, valves, gauges, seals, and vacuum-compatible materials.
  • Integrate vacuum systems with laser, diagnostic, and facility infrastructure.
  • Support commissioning, leak testing, and performance validation.

๐Ÿ“‹ Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
  • 3โ€“10+ years of experience with vacuum systems.
  • Strong understanding of vacuum physics (flow regimes, outgassing, conductance).
  • Hands-on experience with leak detection and troubleshooting.

โœจ Nice to Have

  • Experience with high-energy physics, fusion, semiconductor, or laser systems.
  • Knowledge of large or complex distributed vacuum systems.
  • Familiarity with cleanroom environments and UHV/XHV systems.
