Description

Work with ACLU-NJ staff to conduct legal research, write memoranda, draft advocacy correspondence, and analyze legislative proposals on cutting-edge civil rights issues.

Requirements

• Highly motivated law student
• Full-time commitment for 10 weeks
• Submit cover letter, resume, unofficial transcript, writing sample

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research
• Write legal memoranda
• Draft legal or advocacy correspondence
• Analyze pending state and local legislative or regulatory proposals
• Attend oral arguments in state and federal court
• Participate in advocacy meetings and events
