Description

You will hold a first-level technical management position, supervising staff and mentoring their technical skills while contributing to project management on NCDOT projects and beyond.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Professional Engineering license in NC
• Previous NCDOT project experience and understanding of NCDOT processes and procedures preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and direction in technical project elements, ensuring accuracy and effectiveness of analyses and designs
• Communicate technical progress and issues to Project Managers promptly
• Train and mentor staff, imparting technical knowledge and skills
• Perform, review, and manage technical analyses and designs, ensuring compliance with quality standards
• Assist with business development and proposal development
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on projects
• Share knowledge to enhance organizational learning and performance
