Description

You will support copper and fiber outside plant facility engineering projects by estimating, analyzing, designing, and planning OSP projects while tracking budgets and ensuring compliance with standards. Coordinate with municipal agencies, contractors, and utilities to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years in copper and fiber-optic telecommunications engineering
• Experience with broadband design and OSP construction
• Strong field and design experience
• Organizational skills
• Ability to balance technical work with permitting, reporting, and cross-team collaboration

Responsibilities

• Meet with municipal officials to discuss road and utility projects
• Locate and identify Frontier facilities, evaluate project impacts
• Field/design OSP BAU work orders (service orders, subdivisions, road moves, dark fiber MDU, copper/fiber aerial, buried, underground)
• Update design and project systems (FROGS, CAD, Varasset, SiteTracker)
• Prepare and submit permits to local, state, and federal agencies
