You'll architect and develop highly scalable backend systems for Agoda's global travel platform, owning major parts from vision to implementation. You'll provide hands-on technical leadership to 40+ engineers and drive organization-wide excellence in observability and software quality. Relocation to Bangkok with full support and visa sponsorship included.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Architect and develop highly scalable backend systems
• Write exemplary code and raise the engineering bar
• Define architecture for critical systems
• Drive excellence in observability, testing, and debugging

📋 Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• Proven ability to design and evolve architecture across multiple teams
• Strong experience owning production services end-to-end
• Expertise in backend languages like Kotlin, Scala, or Java

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with Scala and Go
• Knowledge of Kafka and Aerospike
• Broad engineering understanding beyond backend
